The Roots of Malayalam Journalism while tracing the history of Malayalam journalism elaborates on the ways in which ‘Jnananikshepam’ influenced the later development of Malayalam journalism.
About the Author
Dr. Babu Cherian
Dr. Babu Cherian is Associate Professor at the Department of Malayalam, CMS College, Kottayam. He was adjudged the beSt researcher in the Mahatma Gandhi University for his thesis entitled ‘Benjamin Baileys Contributions towards Malayalam Language and Literature’ which was recognised as the beSt thesis in Malayalam. He has a number of works to his credit of which the chief ones are Resa Vicharangal, Benjamin Bailey, Malayala Novel Vimarsham, and Benjamin Baileyum Malayala Sahityavum. He was honoured with the prestigious ‘Suvarna Kairali award’, instituted by M.G. University. He serves as the Chief Editor of the Malayalam Research Journal.
Jacob Isaac
A winner of World Congress Poetry Prize at the Twenty Second World Congress of Poets and the Excellence in Poetry Award instituted by the United Poets Laureate International, Jacob Isaac has a gift of rhythm and music inherent in him. He is the Founder and Director of the Good Shepherd Education Project in South Africa, the country he came to serve in the field of education way back in 1989. He took part in the Twenty Second World Congress of Poets held at Larissa in Greece in Jacob Isaac 2011. He has written many poems which are published in reputed international magazines and anthologies. He was honoured with the prestigious ‘Thayattu award’. ‘Sense of Enigma’ is his latest book, an anthology of poems
