About the Book
The book ‘St. John Paul II, the Voice of Humanity’ by Rev. Fr. John Puthuva is a picturesque portrayal of the life and message of Pope John Paul II.
His legacy in the political and diplomatic arena was focused on the innate dignity of human person and concern for human rights.
Pope John Paul II firmly believed that there cannot be sustainable peace without justice and no justice without reconciliation. He was deeply concerned about the well-being of the poor.
The book rightly qualifies Pope John Paul II as a “pilgrim to global conscience”. The whole world and its leaders unequivocally respected him as a true world leader and on many occasions they sought his opinion and blessings.

Pope John Paul II had a personality that shared the godliness of Christ. This holiness overflew into the Church and the whole world during his contact with thousands of people. Christ’s mercy and compassion for the lost sheep were reflected in his acts. His visit to Ali Agca, who shot at him, and his reassuring words “Brother I forgive you” indicate his humility and forgiving love.
