Moral Concerns of Climate Change:A Critical Enquiry througb Environmental Virtue Oriented Approacb confronts the moral crisis of anthropogenic climate change faced by our common home and humanity. The victims of this crisis are the poor and vulnerable communities especially those from developing countries. After closely examining various ethical theories and presenting their insufficiencies, the author claims that the ethics of character, especially environmental virtue ethics, can be a viable option in responding to the present day anthropogenic climate change crisis.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Brian Raymond Bandya is a Franciscan Capuchin belonging to the St. Bonaventure Province of Maharashtra, India. He obtained his doctorate from the Salesian Pontifical University, Rome, for his work on climate change ethics. Presently he is a Lecturer at Divyadaan: Salesian Institute of Philosophy , Nashik, and teaches History of Philosophy, besides Ecology. He resides at the Capuchin Ashram, Nashik and serves as the Vice-Rector of the formation community.
