Description
A Study of Faith and Imagination in the Novels of Andrew M Greeley
Priest-sociologist-author Father (Dr) Andrew Greeley’s novels are enactments of the mutually enriching interplay of faith and imagination. In this book, Fr Greeley is presented as a model Catholic writer. Twenty five of his novels are analysed in detail and a brief journey through his non fictional writings is made to assert that a Catholic priest cannot fulfil his evangelical commitments to the Church and the world, unless he develops and follows a combination of faith and imagination in both his preaching and writing. This book also convinces us how faith and imagination instead of supplanting one another, jointly supplement each other.
