Description
COMMUNICATIONS IN THE FAMILY
This book is an attempt at highlighting the importance of communications in the family.
The word communications with ‘s’ in the end signifies both the process of communication and the modern technologies of the media.
Family is the basis of society and sociologists have noted that from time immemorial it has contributed to the making of a person and his/her personality immensely It may not have been spelt out as it is, but it is communication that helps each person to be what he or she is.
Nuclear families have replaced joint families even in India. Urban civilization has brought in the concept of working parents and school-going children who meet occasionally. In this context, communication has a major role to play in the family.
