Description
The 16 articles in this book, selected from Old and New Testament themes is an attempt to experience the sharpness of the Word. The Word is analyzed in the light of contemporary realities. The bronze Serpent raised in the wilderness was an instrument of healing but later it became an idol. People, dissatisfied with the food God gave, complained and cried for meat and God gave them so much meat that they ended up suffocating in their own vomit. These are some of the warnings we see in the Old Testament. Many of these articles might create disturbance like the words of the donkey to Balaam. At the same time, they might help to avoid some fatal mistakes. However, some might find them as consoling.
This is an attempt to analyze the familiar words of the bible in a new light. They could be light on your path. They could inflict wounds and at the same time be healing. If taken well, they could become a spring of living water. Just as the sun, the word of God is there for us either to accept and gain eternal life or reject and walk through the path of destruction.
