ABOUT THE AUTHOR
R.K. Ramachandran Nair is an electrical engineer whose professional life was mostly spent in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Andaman Nicokar and Islands and the metro-cities of India. Through some of these poems, he reads the property of life from foreign faces, suck as the Philippine driver who flies without ticket from the Saudi desert to his home in Philippines within moments and the American space scientist who asks his doctor to remedy his heart which has forgotten how to feel.
Some other poems reflect rare moments from contemporary India like the dauntless spirit of an old woman who alone comes out for morning-stroll through the Mumbai street while all others hide in their dens for fear of terrorists, like the momentary ecstasy of an Indian soldier who forgets the line of control and sings the song of Mohamed Rafi along with his Pakistani counterpart, the silent agony of two departed lovers who meet for a moment in a lift and part even without a word of greeting.
Poems by the author have appeared in famous publication, such as
THESUN and the BHAVAN’S JOURNAL
