Description
NIRBHAYA CASE
A Turning Point in Juvenile Offences
The brutal and gruesome Delhi rape case that occurred on 16th December 2012, shook the whole nation from its complacency and made us hang our head in shame was the immediate provocation for writing this book. The incident triggered violent protests and heated debates and deliberations all over the country. This book entitled “Nirbhaya Case – A Turning point in Juvenile Offences” is a humble attempt by the author to open the eyes of the judiciary, the legislature and the executives to have a realistic outlook over the gravity of the issues which rocked the conscience of the whole Nation. Let me acknowledge my sincere thanks to Padma Bhushan Vinod Roy IAS Rtd for writing a fitting foreword for this book.I would also like to acknowledge my sincere thanks to Nirbhaya’s mother who was gracious enough to answer my questions and for her valuable suggestions.
